Excellent question.
One which my mom posed as we stood at La Loverina,
an INCREDIBLE bakery in my dad's hometown of
Lovere,a small village in the northern part of Italy.
I am still in the midst of editing these, but here's a sneak preview of the
wedding cake that barely make it to the wedding!!!!
My friend Johanna, whose
baby shower I photographed back in April, had a baby boy
and his name is Lucas!!!
Juan and I met the adorable Lucas two weeks ago and he is a cutie!!!!
He was a little hungry, I think, when I took these photos.
I shall return on another occasion for a family portrait and maybe
Lucas will give me a smile or two!
Congrats Johanna and Nate!!!!!
My husband, Juan, has an awesome sense of style.
Here we have his latest shoe purchase, one of many eclectic pairs he has owned.
Let me tell you that this pair is the craziest, most unique i've seen him wear.
They are GOLDEN Puma shoes and I must admit he looks damn good wearing them!!!
Last Thursday afternoon we had the pleasure of having lunch
with
Veronica, her son Sebastian (who is now almost 14 months old!!!!),
his cousin Ellie, and her parents Christine and Esteban.
Granted I took these with our little point-and-click camera,
I got some fun photos of Sebastian being a cute little flirt,
as well as him chewing on a lemon.
Talk about cute and funny - an infant reacting to the sour taste of a lemon.
enjoy!
It's here! It's here!
My super wide 16-35mm f/2.8 lens is here!!!!
I've been savoring this moment and waiting for this moment for quite some time!!!!
Since going full frame to a 5D several few months ago,
I was itching for a wide lens that will be great to travel with, shoot weddings,
food, abstracts, people......pretty much anything, really :)
What a beautiful beautiful lens!
I will put it to good use right away!!!
(can you tell that I am THRILLED?!!!!!)
and how could i resist a self portrait...........
Elizabeth and Dino went off to the Caribbean to get married and then held their wedding reception for friends and family at Queens University of Charlotte.
They had a gorgeous pink and green theme, with a matching candy bar. Yum!
The reception was lovely and boy, let me tell you, Elizabeth can dance!!!!! She tore up the dance floor all night, followed by a beautiful sparker exit with her husband Dino.
Unbeknownst to me, as my husband and I attended a friend's wedding in Charleston this weekend, I was informed today that my photo, Soledad, won 3rd place (out of 100 entries) at the Light Factory's Annual Member's show, whose opening was this past Saturday night!!!!
So without further ado, here is my (and I can really say this!!) award-winning photo, Soledad, a photograph taken in Bergamo, Italy upon my mom's and my return from a fabulous day-trip to Milano.
Last Saturday morning I photographed Catherine and Greg's engagement session.
Here are some of my favorite images.
Enjoy!
