I could not believe my eyes when I saw this beautiful sight - after lunch in the entry just before this blog - i happened to press the wrong floor to go down to the lobby and I literally lost my breath when facing this beautiful staircase with amazing dim lighting.

Greetings from Italy, where I am spending 10 days with mom (Susy), dad (Alberto) and his family. He is from the teeny town of Lovere, in the province of Bergamo in the northern part of Italy.

When you're the one taking all the photos, you realize there are hardly any photos of you around to for your various profiles and to share with your friends, family and your peers.
.....so, I got a little creative this afternoon and created this non-traditional self portrait.
What do you think?
I would love your comments on this entry!

Hello!
So a few months ago, I picked up a bunch of photography magazines, including JPG mag, and they have a cool on-line community where photographers are encouraged to submit their work, review their peers work and there's a chance your image may be published in the actual issue (which comes with some cool prizes!)
SO, I submitted a few images, including this one I took in Ecuador, and need your vote!
It won't take but a second! Do it!
Thanks!

This past Saturday was BUSY!
In between Elizabeth's bridal portraits, and Eva Fina & DJ Sarper's show was my aunt Patricia's surprise birthday party!
We were married in her house back in December 2005, and going back there is always special to me.
James
The BIGGEST surprise was that Natalia, Patricia's sister, came all the way from Ecuador for Patricia's birthday! The best part was that Patricia had NO CLUE!
tia Natalia is on the left and the birthday girl, Patricia, on the right
Cristina and Nicolas, Patricia's kids
cousin Maria Fernanda with her 1 1/2 yr old twins

Natalia making Pisco Sour. DELICIOUS!!!
my mother-in-law, Mili, and my husband Juan Miguel

This past Saturday night, my husbad's band, Eva Fina, played at the Evening Muse in NoDa. Their opening and closing act was DJ Sarper, a friend of ours.
Here are some scenes from the show!

I had the pleasure of photographing Elizabeth this past Saturday afternoon all over Charlotte.
Although uncertain at times, we lucked out with great weather and just a raindrop or two.
Here are some of my favorite images of Elizabeth. Enjoy!
I love the negative space here and the simplicity of the image.
We found a bench in an unlikely space and made great use of it. The photo above and below are two of my favorite bench shots.

This last image was taken at Elizabeth's grandmother house.
I love the hardwood floors and how beautiful and relaxed Elizabeth looks.
